 Dear Community Leaders:
1).  See attached report or visit www.apas-nola.org.
2).  Refocus how APAS can be saved.  Let's vote for new leadership, not the same tired group who participated in the Tsunami Fund mysteries and its Powerpoint receipts and documents.  Let's be clear:  APAS in past decade did not reflect the Asian demographics in Louisiana, i.e. less than half of 1% of Asian Americans in Louisiana are Indonesians, Malaysians, Laos, or Cambodians,  but look where the largest sum of APAS money, $500,000, is controlled by or funded to.
3).  Save APAS from destruction brought by these controlling individuals who sued APAS twice (stay tuned for more), costing APAS legal fees and CPAs fees.  Persistent courtroom dramas, like one yesterday, are depleting APAS $$$.  We positively must have zero tolerance for non-compliance; don't turn back to decade old ways of funny business.
4).  Support the current Board of Directors in putting APAS in its new direction of building public confidence and trust:  Vote for Cyndi Nguyen (Chair), Li Seghers (First Vice Chair), Kay Weiss (Second Vice Chair), and Nicholas Felton (Secretary).  Look for a better festival and a much better gala, and attract more donations with public trust.  We are building a solid partnership with United Way of Southeast Louisiana (actually, unlike 10 years ago) and empowering Asian organizations locally.
Tina
