Here is the problems with Functional programming and the functional
language Haskel
 
Parallel programming is still prone to Deadlocks with Mvars in
Haskel.
 
Parallel programming with Haskel is still prone to Starvation.
 
Please read the book Real World Haskel from O'Rreilly to understand this.
 
And Functional programming has a problem on the criterion of readability:
