Rick, any psychiatrist will tell you that it happens that some people really do see pink unicorns, or little green men, or Jesus, in their cupboards. Some of these people worry that they might be going nuts, and go to see a psychiatrist. Others think that what they're seeing is perfectly normal, and it's their families that takes them to the psychiatrist. If you really believe that you met the Lord, you might want to consider the latter possibility, since it's a real one. Best regards, Daniel |
"Rick C. Hodgin" <rick.c.hodgin@gmail.com>: Jul 13 07:50PM -0700 Daniel, You're in the natural position of rejecting the things of God as foolishness, even mental disorder: http://biblehub.com/1_corinthians/1-18.htm http://biblehub.com/1_corinthians/2-14.htm You mock what you do not perceive or understand. The teaching is this: there is more to our lives than what our flesh is able to know and understand. There is spirit. Jesus is the way to gain spiritual life. He does this by taking our sin away, which makes us in right standing with God again, which restores us to our spiritual life. Check it out from other sources. Go talk to Christians you know personally. Inquire of them face to face. Do not take my word for it. Do the testing research and see for yourself. Thank you, Rick C. Hodgin |

Some people literally do see little green men in their back yard and think that that's normal, a friend of mine's in-laws did. We understand these things better today than we did in the past. We live in the modern world, and there's no going back. We understand how ancient myths evolved, and their great contribution to human civilization. There is a enormous amount of scholarship around this, I would encourage you to explore it. By focusing on the unimportant things - salvation and eternity - you miss the profound nature of the ideas, the human ideas. Best regards, Daniel |
