Digest for comp.lang.c++@googlegroups.com - 25 updates in 3 topics

"Rick C. Hodgin" <rick.c.hodgin@gmail.com>: Mar 15 07:56PM

The speed of light in a vacuum commonly denoted c, is 299,792,458 m/s;
this has been measured many times by different people using different
methodology and currently with an uncertainty of 4 parts per billion and
is no in doubt.

According to special relativity, c is the maximum speed at which all
conventional matter and hence all known forms of information in the
universe can travel (including light).

As light travels at a finite speed everything we observe with our eyes
happened in the past due to the time taken for the light to reach our eyes.

If we look at a star in the night sky and it's distance to us is the
distance it takes light to travel in 8 years say, then we say it is "8
light years away". When we observe that star what we are seeing is how
it looked 8 years ago.

This is why I am conflicted. I know the universe is only 6000 years old
thanks to the Bible however we can observe stars and galaxies much
further away than 6000 light years (our Galaxy, The Milky Way, is itself
100,000 light years in diameter) which means the universe must be much
older than 6000 years.

I can resolve my conflict through faith and what I know about Satan.
Satan has many names one of which is "Lucifer" which means "Bringer of
Light" and light having a finite speed is actually Satan's greatest
deception timed to coincide with our greatest scientific advances and
the end times. He uses science and empirical evidence to lead us away
from Jesus Christ. The night sky and what we observe through telescopes
is an illusion that those who do not wish to burn in hell for eternity
must ignore it.

So my message to you, dear reader, is ignore Satan's greatest deception
and accept faith in Jesus Christ and be saved sausages.

It is actually simple. All our telescopes and microscopes and
calculations must lie to us since the world around us is dominion
of Satan. Only his strange interpretation of Bible is truth.
Truth is also sometimes present in speeches of some other
young-earth creationists and on websites of those and also
in fake parody news. World is lie, rocks are lie, sky is lie, stars
are lie and speed of light is lie. Cheap simulation, smoke and
mirrors. It is nowhere written in Bible but it must be that way.

It goes like this:

1) There are fundamental truths.
2) ONLY God gives them, for He is truth and can do no other.
3) Everyone and everything else is capable of lying and
producing and believing falseness.
4) ONLY God is ALWAYS true, and ALWAYS AND ONLY teaches truth.

Therefore, I accept what God says above man's beliefs.

Leigh did not get the point of my post. It was probably "tl;dr"
for him... so there is no point in attempting an explanation to
him.

But you, Öö Tiib, may be able to be reached. God cannot lie, does
not lie, and teaches us only the truth. He has promised to protect
those who are His, and lead them into everything necessary for our
salvation from sin.

Do I have some things I believe in this world incorrect? Certainly.
I may not understand computers the way I should, or I have some
peculiar view of how the law is supposed to work in America, or in
the Bible I may be misunderstanding the application of some teach-
ings I think I know. But none of those are preventing me from be-
ing saved. What prevents me from being saved is denying Jesus
Christ, and not trusting that in Him knowing that even though I may
be flawed, that I may make mistakes, that I may even be errant in
some of the doctrine I teach, He is never wrong. And, it's not
because I'm trying to be deceptive that I write and post as I do,
but because I'm trying to be obedient.

God is so far beyond us that I imagine our best efforts unto Him
are akin to a nine-year old making breakfast for mommy and daddy,
not knowing how to cook, getting everything wrong, making such a
mess in the kitchen it takes hours to clean it up, and the entire
meal has to be scrapped anyway because it's inedible... but in
such a case you don't chastise the child. What they did was their
best effort, given in their best intent, for the purposes of then
pleasing mommy and daddy by doing for them.

It is likely very similar with us and God. And whereas we make
all manner of mistakes relative to a perfect Heaven, when we stick
close to the Bible, teach people to go there and validate that
which we teach and proclaim, and point people to Jesus Christ, then
are we doing right in all cases because these are the things He's
asked us to do.

He knows we'll make mistakes. He knows we won't have everything
sorted out perfectly. But He also looks past the outer facade and
sees straight into our heart and knows why we're doing the things
we're doing. And, as with the nine-year old making breakfast, it
pleases Him to no end to see us doing our best, even when we know
we don't know everything, can't understand everything, yet we are
trusting in Him knowing that He does, and that at some place and
future time we will come to know everything we don't understand
correctly today... for it is His promise:

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Corinthians+13%3A11-12&version=KJV

11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a
child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put
away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to
face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also
I am known.

God has plans for us. This world will not endure. We are here in a
type of "Proving Grounds," demonstrating to God, to ourselves, to one
another, to all of Creation, who we are, what we believe, and all of
it is being written down in books in Heaven for that final day when
each of us will give an account of our lives unto God.

What will my account look like? For almost 35 years I was a non-
believer. Looking back on my life I was a profane, vile man, using
profanity, pursuing fleshly lusts, teaching people things against
God ... but all of the penalty of that sin will be transferred to
Jesus, so that it's not charged to me, but is charged to Him. And
my sin since I've been a believer. I went through a very hard time
with my marriage in the late 2000s and went out to be a missionary
at one point and wound up getting involved with a cult, and engaging
in various sins under false guidance. I later came out of it, but
all of that will be there on my account, but Jesus will also take
all of that punishment away from me, leaving me standing there free
from that sin, spotless before God. And each day I struggle with
the various forces at work in this world, those guiding and tugging
at me this way, or that way. Billboards, TV shows, music, even the
things we see when we go into stores and do basic things, and now
recently fuel stations playing video and music while we fill up our
tanks.

There are so many things which go against God in this world, but the
Christian looks up to God knowing that He does have everything right,
that the sin in this world will not endure, that even our own sin is
hated by us, that we do not want it, and we maintain a state of on-
going repentance such that we are continually in prayer to keep us
from sinning, but knowing that if we do we have an advocate for us
in Jesus Christ, keeping us free from sin by His free gift to us.

-----
God cannot lie. He's told us to trust in Him. When you read the
Bible seeking the truth, God opens up your understanding in a way
other things do not. It's more than words on a page being seen by
your eyes, processed by your brain, translated into words, translated
into concepts, translated into thought. His words are spirit and
they are life and there is something invisible happening beyond all
of that, something spiritual.

His words lead to new life, the regeneration that Jesus promises for
all who come to Him asking forgiveness for their sin.

And nothing you, or Leigh, or anyone else says, can change that be-
cause I used to not believe it was possible either... but then one
day when I was almost 35 years old, I was saved. And when it happened
to me I could not believe it. The change was undeniable, and remains
amazing to me even to this day. But here it is, consistently, each
and every day, knocking on my life, drawing my attention, pulling me
away from worldly things, consistently pulling me toward Him.

I fail. I fall down. I get knocked down by myself and others. But,
I keep getting back up, and He keeps taking hold of me and pulling me
back up.

I know that I do not have any answers to give to anyone for their
many questions. But, I know the One who does... so I point everyone
to Him.

Faith, Öö Tiib ... it comes to those who are being saved. No one
else will ever be able to understand it because it is a gift from
God. Until you are willing to seek the truth, until you are willing
to lay down your current thoughts and say, "Okay, maybe I am wrong,
maybe God is real, maybe I do have sin, maybe Jesus really did come
to save me," ... until then it will never happen. You'll continue
to operate only in your flesh thinking you're right, never knowing
that there is a spirit nature, and that God's Holy Spirit reveals
the truth and testifies against the flesh. You will never know that
you are blind, poor, naked, wretched, pitiful, and fully deceived,
because in your sinful flesh, it thinks everything is fine because
it begins at that sinful state of deception.

-----
I point you to Christ. If you can't find the way, press in harder.
If you do, He will meet you where you are in your error, and lead
you out forever.

Everybody meets Christ at a different place/point, but everybody's
walk is the same once we meet Him ... straight on from wherever we
are to where He is, never wavering, never faltering, never failing,
because He is there consistently to bring us back onto the path
should we ever, like an errant child, begin to go astray.

God is good, Öö Tiib. Jesus is the Good Shepherd who guides us all
the way to Heaven.

This knowledge and teaching is the best I have to offer you ... so
I give it to you freely, and purposefully, so that you can come to
understand what I found in 2004.

To sum up:

We don't know the answer to things yet, Leigh. We have some
knowledge and have learned some things, but science continues
to move. Math continues to move. Archeology continues to
move. Everything continues to move. It is evolving as we
learn more and more about what has ALWAYS BEEN HERE.

Physicists at CERN are now considering that the Standard
Model they've been using for decades may be wrong:

http://www.iflscience.com/physics/latest-cern-results-indicates-there-something-wrong-particle-physics/

The incredbly promising Supersymmetry Model doesn't appear
to hold up either, despite much elegant math:

https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/supersymmetry-fails-test-forcing-physics-seek-new-idea/

We don't know. We can't explain gravity. We can't explain
electromagnetism. We can't explain the strong or weak nuclear
forces. We can't explain time. We can't explain absolute
zero, or the speed of light. We can't explain anything. We
only have unproven theories which do not hold up to rigorous
laboratory testing.

We're guessing on all counts, Leigh. Intelligent guessing.
Guessing which appears to align with reason and theories, but
we don't know. We are not certain. We don't yet have a Grand
Unified Theory which is demonstrable repeatedly. We're grasp-
ing at unprovable ideas like Dark Matter and Dark Energy. We
are trying to fill holes in our flawed model with inventions
of darkness.

All that we do have and know is STILL subject to change through
experimentation. We do not yet know anything.

-----
I accept that the universe is already created and founded and has
every principle we're discovered embroidered into it as a masterful
tapestry of beauty and creation. I hold to an absolute truth. I
accept that ONE GOD would be at the head of that absolute truth,
and is, in fact, that absolute truth, for He founded the universe
entirely upon Himself (which is why sin goes to full isolation in
Hell forever). And I have found that Jesus Christ is that truth.
I have found the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and I have received
the new life. It has completely changed me from the inside out,
despite this old flesh continually railing against my best intents
and purposes.

Further:

I accept that God is teaching us all we need for salvation, and
reject any and all attempts of man to comprehend things above any
guidance of God because of my belief in an absolute truth, which,
by definition, would be "God," and that leads to us being sub-
ordinate, a creation, subject to the rules of the higher authority.

We do not yet have a handle on things well enough to say definitively
anything of our genius discovery of that which ALREADY exists, let
alone to say definitively "I am right, and there is no God." Only
a fool has said in their heart "there is no God." Only a total and
complete fool would look to the incredible-beyond-words workings of
this universe and say "it just happened" rather than "WOW OH WOW OH
WOW OH WOW! WILL YOU LOOK AT THAT!!! WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE HAVE!!!"

Only a fool, Leigh:

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+14&version=KJV

1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are
corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none
that doeth good.
2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men,
to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy:
there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my
people as they eat bread, and call not upon the Lord.
5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation
of the righteous.
6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the Lord is
his refuge.
7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when
the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob
shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

Come to your senses, Leigh, lest that final day overtake you like
a flood.

You're toying with fire in your arrogance, Leigh. Literally.

I have moved. When I was first saved I read 1 Corinthians 7:14
and concluded that my wife was saved by me being saved:

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Corinthians+7%3A14&version=KJV

14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and
the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else
were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

I was harshly rebuked by a family member who mocked me in my young
understanding of the faith, stating that I was wrong. When this
person said that, I immediately knew in my spirit they were right
and I was wrong, and I updated my viewpoint to reflect the true
teaching:

The verse is saying that because a person is saved, they
will sanctify the house by removing things which are unholy.
As a result, the unbelieving spouse is subject to the house
with those things removed, as are the children.

I have had a few other such things that I initially believed
when I was a young Christian, but over time, over more study,
I've come to realize the truth and revised my teaching.

It continues to this day. Every time I open the Bible I read
something I've read or heard preached on before, and with my
growing understanding of God and the Bible, I see how things
that seemed previously unrelated are related, and how deeply
so.

-----
The Bible is absolute truth, given by God, written by men. It
speaks spiritually in addition to the words on the flesh. The
parables Jesus teaches, for example, convey an apparent outward
meaning, but have a second meaning which He revealed to His
servants when the were alone. That same kind of secondary under-
standing is given of God spiritually on a great many aspects of
the scripture, and probably all of them but I'm not there yet to
receive them because I am still immature in my walk and study.

People mock the things they don't understand.

Invest some time in reading and studying the Bible, and maybe
you'll conclude as Napoleon did in his rebuke of his General
Bertrand:

http://biblehub.com/library/schaff/the_person_of_christ/napoleon_bonaparte.htm

"I know men; and I tell you that Jesus Christ is not a man.
Superficial minds see a resemblance between Christ and the
founders of empires, and the gods of other religions. That
resemblance does not exist. There is between Christianity
and whatever other religions the distance of infinity.

"We can say to the authors of every other religion, You are
neither gods, nor the agents of the Deity. You are but
missionaries of falsehood, moulded from the same clay with
the rest of mortals. You are made with all the passions and
vices inseparable from them. Your temples and your priests
proclaim your origin.' Such will be the judgment, the cry of
conscience, of whoever examines the gods and the temples of
paganism..."

He goes on for many more paragraphs and concludes with this:

"If you do not perceive that Jesus Christ is God, very well:
then I did wrong to make you a general."

You have to come to realize what absolute truth is, Leigh.
We don't have it anywhere in our own discovery. The only
place we have it is in that place where God gave it to us,
and He did so for HIS pleasure, as it delighted Him to both
create us in the first place, and rescue us in our folly.

We are important to God. He has created this universe for
us to dwell with Him. He has done marvelous things that
are truly beautiful, and even of things we do not yet know.

When Paul was writing about things which happened to him in
his ministry, he once wrote about going to Heaven. He says
that he knew a man in Christ 14 years ago who went to the
third Heaven (first Heaven is the air, second Heaven is
what we see in space, but there's a third Heaven beyond what
our eyes are able to see). There he heard things that are
illegal for a man to talk about.

The experience there was so real he didn't know if he was
in the body or in the spirit.

There are things going on in this universe so far beyond us,
Leigh. It's even arguable that God has only allowed a certain
degree of revelation to come forward in His creation at our
primitive, sinful, un-holy stage of our existence here on this
Earth. He won't reveal the true secrets of His universe to us
here because of our sin, and what we might do with that knowl-
edge in our corruption.

But He has promised to teach us everything on the other side.

Absolute truth is of God, and it is given for us on the other
side of death after we shed this sinful nature:

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Corinthians+15%3A53-55&version=KJV

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this
mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption,
and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall
be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is
swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

Jesus gives us the victory over death, so that we can be a part of
God's true Kingdom in Heaven:

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+Corinthians+12&version=KJV

2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether
in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I
cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the
third heaven.
3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the
body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)
4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable
words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
5 Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory,
but in mine infirmities.
6 For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool;
for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man
should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or
that he heareth of me.

There's more going on in this grand universe of God's creation
than has been revealed to us in this limited sinful existence.
God gives us hints of it so we are entice and enthralled.

It is only the enemy Satan, evil and wicked, who tries to keep
our focus here, for it is ONLY here that Satan has victory over
us, and even then only for a time.

Christians are still here in this sinful world. We are born
again of the spirit, and we have the new life and are able to
hear and know and understand the things of God, who is also
spirit. But, we also still have this sinful flesh, and it is
drawn to the things of this world, just as our spirit is drawn
to the things of God.

It requires discipline and focus to maintain our eyes on the
things above, those things of God, upon the spirit and not the
flesh. It requires a purposeful choice as it would be very
easy for me to reciprocate your hateful identity theft with
something on par of my own, but I do not desire to be a part of
that childish activity. I desire to serve God, so I look to
Him to be my source of strength and I look past you in your
grand arrogance, and I try to meet you at the place you need
to be met, not at the place the enemy is leading you to lead
me to so that he will have the victory there.

"Speed of light, mate."

Do you see how arrogant that statement is? Leigh, little Leigh,
little Leigh trapped in a sinful body in a sinful world knowing
only the things of the flesh ... dares to espouse as though he
actually knows something.

You should read the book of Job and listen to the way God totally
dresses Job down in his questionings, in his thinkings. God comes
to Job in a whirlwind and says (NIV) "Brace yourself and I will
question you like a man:"

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Job+38&version=KJV

1 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee,
and answer thou me.

On that final day when you stand before the very God who made this
universe, who has created everything that comprises everything we
know here in this world, and in the spiritual places, who has all
authority over all things ... when you stand before Jesus He will
dress you down in your arrogance to the point where you are weeping
like a 12-year old girl. You will not be able to stand in that
day. You will collapse under your own arrogance and sin and you
will cry out aloud, "STOP IT, GOD! STOP IT! YOU ARE RIGHT! I AM
A VILE, WRETCHED, EVIL PERSON! I HAVE ONLY DONE EVIL! I HAVE ONLY
DONE WRONG! I SEE CLEARLY NOW HOW I HAVE BEEN, AND I AM SAD BEYOND
WORDS OVER WHAT I HAVE LOST."

The Bible says there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth on that
final day:

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+13%3A41-42&version=KJV

41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall
gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them
which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be
wailing and gnashing of teeth.

-----
Leigh ... you have to seek the truth. The truth is, and it exists
as it exists. YOU have to move to where it is.

Jesus sends men and women like me to point you to the truth, but
you have to move to find it.

Think on these things. Give them some consideration when you are
alone. Radio turned off. No TV or movies. No distractions.
When you are there alone and quiet and at peace ... think on these
things.

Above you said it was your family member who mocked you, and you thought
your family member was right.

But Napoleon would have been a Catholic, and you've said you don't like
Catholics either.

I'm trying to teach you something here, Leigh. You and everyone
else. I'm trying to teach you the nature of our existence in
sin. The nature of what God has revealed about Himself up to
this point. The nature of the judgment that looms over every
one of us because of sin. And the incredible love story of Jesus
leaving Heaven, putting on a flesh body, and coming down here as
a man, not in His Kingdom glory, but limiting Himself to time and
space as one of us, so that He could rescue us.

Imagine a king doing that for his people? A king stepping out
into the battlefield to rescue his men that are pinned down by
the enemy.

That is what Jesus did for us.

I am trying to teach you the truth about who you are, who God is,
why we need Him, and how to come to Him to be saved.

I'm not asking you for money, or to join the church I attend, or
for anything other than to go to Jesus Christ where you are, ask
Him to forgive you, and watch your life change as He guides you
from within to those things above.

Removed unholy things. Worldly things.

We're told elsewhere in scripture that if our unbelieving spouse
seeks to stay with us then we are to stay with them:

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Corinthians+7&version=KJV

Note: This is Paul's guidance. Jesus teaches previously
that we are never to leave our spouse even if they
choose to leave us:

13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and
if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and
the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were
your children unclean; but now are they holy.
15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or
a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath
called us to peace.

Yes. It should not have been done in mocking. They were being
purposefully mean to me and were rebuked by others by their action.
But, they were right in their teaching, wrong in their approach.

Christians do not receive a full handle on things when we believe.
We have God's Holy Spirit guidance, and He prompts us to speak and
teach in love, but we are still able to choose to follow after His
guidance or after our flesh. It's how/why so many people fall into
sin. Some pastor of 35 years teaching reliably, solidly, suddenly
has an affair with his secretary or something. It's not because he
isn't saved. It's because the enemy never relents. The enemy is
trying to get us to abandon God, to walk away from God, to sin and
damage our witness so others look at him and say, "Yeah. Uh huh.
See. YOU HYPOCRITE!" and then walk off justified in their not
wanting to be like that sad excuse of a man. Satan uses those bad
things we do in sin to harm people, which is why Jesus still teaches
us to obey all things whatsoever He has commanded in Matthew 28:18-20.
We are no longer under the law, but those things protect us. They
shelter us from the enemy, which is why God gave them to Israel in
the first place (they didn't have the Holy Spirit, and the rigors
of the Law of Moses would keep them focused on the things of God on
a daily, hourly basis).

> > maybe you'll conclude as Napoleon

> But Napoleon would have been a Catholic, and you've said you don't
> like Catholics either.

It's not a matter of not liking Catholics. Catholicism teachings
things which are against Jesus Christ's direct teachings, and those
of the non-Catholic New Testament.

There are many Catholics who are saved, but who are following after
false things. There are many Christians who are saved, but who are
also following after false things.

Some Christians believe in evolution and millions of years and just
figure God had a way to work it all in there. They still know they
are sinners. They've still come to Jesus asking Him to forgive
their sin and they are saved, but they are still in error in their
thinking because they are not seeking after God with diligence.

Consider the man with natural athletic ability. He can run faster
than anyone else his age, for example. But if he does not apply
himself to running, will he be faster than others? Will he have
the endurance they do? Will he go to the meets others do and over
time attain the trophies the others did, those who put in the time
and rigorous study and training and discipline? No.

Each of us is given our base abilities by God, but how we use the
abilities He has given us determines how productive we will be in
our walk.

What I try and teach is that God wants us to place Him first in
all things, so that all things we'll do are subject to Him, so we
are not making mistakes by being misled by the enemy into doing
things we might think (in our flesh) are good ideas, but ultimately
prove out to only be bad ideas and harmful to people because they
are not in line with God's teachings.

It's a major teaching and it's very deep, even though it can be
approached initially with some limited teaching and understanding.

It's like salvation. A person can easily recognize they are a
sinner and need forgiveness, and be saved by asking Jesus to for-
give them, but there is a lifetime of study left in the Bible to
learn more about what God has for us to do in this Earth, and why
He leaves us here once we are saved (to go forth and teach others).

We are like plants planted which produce seeds which then go forth.
Some of those seeds take root and will produce more plants which
then self-produce and so on.

We are planting seeds of salvation by pointing people to Christ.
Once they are saved, they will grow and plant seeds of salvation
in others who will point people to Christ, and so on.

It is all part of His design, both naturally in the physical world
around us, as well as spiritually in the way the invisible spirit
operates.

You are purposefully making yourself unwilling to understand my
reply. I will not answer you differently than I have. If you
want to seek the truth ... move to where it is. If not, then I
am truly sorry for you.

As you refuse to answer such a simple question (due to the implications
on your belief system) a parody post will be necessary. Incoming.

"Suppose it's all true, and you walk up to the pearly gates, and are
confronted by God," Bryne asked on his show The Meaning of Life. "What
will Stephen Fry say to him, her, or it?"
"I'd say, bone cancer in children? What's that about?" Fry replied.
"How dare you? How dare you create a world to which there is such misery
that is not our fault. It's not right, it's utterly, utterly evil."
"Why should I respect a capricious, mean-minded, stupid God who creates
a world that is so full of injustice and pain. That's what I would say."

I answered your question, Leigh.

> a parody post will be necessary. Incoming.

Try to understand, Leigh ... the universe is not the way you
think it is. What I'm trying to teach you is that you need
to change your understanding to acknowledge the fact that there
is more than you understand today.

You try to rest upon your current understanding, but refuse to
examine new genetic data, for example, that proves evolution is
impossible. You will not accept an answer like, "We do not know
for sure," because you are already sure you do know.

You are wrong, Leigh. And until you acknowledge that fact you
will continue being only wrong. When you do acknowledge you may
be wrong, then you are on the right path and God will meet you
where you are because you are willing to seek the truth.

Please try to understand with more effort than you're using now.

Reading of growing plants... Well, now this makes me want to point you
in the following direction Rick:

https://groups.google.com/d/topic/comp.lang.javascript/vza2sChC2MY/discussion
(read the whole discussion for proper context!)

Fwiw, here is a direct link to my online field based DLA program:

http://funwithfractals.atspace.cc/ct_fdla_anime_dynamic_test

All of my code is there. I hope it does not look like crap! ;^o

This should work on a phone and your computer. If you have any problems
running my program, PLEASE tell me all about them. Thanks.

Btw, you should put a highly limited CAlive compiler online. Think of
something along the lines of:

https://www.onlinegdb.com/online_c_compiler

Imvho, it should help you out quite a bit to have a bunch of users
trying out programs online...

You realize of course that if the code is part of an operating
system there will also need to be colonel functions.

I expect it was meant as the number of lines in the function
body, ie, not including the function name, return type, parameter
declarations, or outermost definitional braces.

> comments and blank lines, and perhaps a
> line to introduce some local declarations. If the function returns a

If anyone is interested, I looked at some statistics over 20 or
so small code bases (each at least 50 functions, and discarding
the two highest and two lowest). The percentage of functions of
length 5 lines or fewer ranged from about 24% to about 66%, with
about 40% as the median. The measurement includes all lines
inside function definition braces, including any blank lines or
comments.
