"Rick C. Hodgin" <rick.c.hodgin@gmail.com>: Jan 05 10:51AM -0800 When you stand before God, the books will be opened. Every thing you've ever done will be there written down in the books perfectly. No distortion. No twist. No bent. Only an accurate and true and full accounting of the things you have done. Idle words Actions Blasphemies Emotions The way you affected other people, including life scars Along with the reasons why you did each thing There will be no escaping your guilt on Judgment Day. The book of your life will be opened up with every detail. It will read that you were born, and on this day you did this, and on this day you did that, and on this other day you did this other thing, all the way up to the day of your death. It will include everything of your sin, and all other actions. For those who are forgiven by Christ, the only things written down in the book will be positive things. Jesus, at the cross, took away all of our sin. The book of the believer in Jesus Christ will read: On this day so-and-so was born. On this day they did this for Christ. On this day they did this for Christ. On this day they did this for Christ. It will repeat only those things they did for Christ. There is no judgment for the one who has asked Jesus to forgive them. There is only reward given to them in Heaven. Jesus took away the bad things, and made us whiter than snow, whiter than any fuller could do. It's why we need Jesus Christ. Our sin will overshadow us completely, and Jesus came to take our sin away so we are not only not overshadowed, but are shining and beaming in His own glory, made that way by His free gift to us. ----- Do you have sin? Yes. Do you need a Savior from judgment from God? Yes. Is there one who is willing to do that for you? Yes. His name is Jesus. -- Rick C. Hodgin |
"Rick C. Hodgin" <rick.c.hodgin@gmail.com>: Jan 05 07:06AM -0800 People often say that "Christianity is being forced upon us!" What's being conveyed to you, not forced upon you, is the offer that Christ has for all of mankind: Forgiveness of sin. Man gets caught up in doctrinal issues, matters of whether this or that should be part of the church service, and even splits churches based on those issues ... when that is all the work of the enemy who seeks to divide the house of God, the people of Christ, so that they will be ill-effective. What Jesus seeks from us is our lives. What He offers us is eternal life through forgiveness of sin. Jesus offers us everything. Nothing is forced upon anybody. In fact, even though Jesus can save all, He won't. Jesus only saves those who receive His offer. And only those who are enabled by God the Father are able to hear Him, and to receive His offer in the first place. It is all about God looking inside of our hearts and drawing those who will hear the truth to His Son, while the rest are divided, separated like wheat from the chaff, ready to be tossed into the fire. If you hear the call of God within your heart, do not harden yourself toward Him, but rather rejoice ... because it is God Almighty, the author of the universe, reaching into your life to save you. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad because your long night of pain in this dark world is almost over, but until that day of our physical redemption comes, be the light He calls you to be shining in this world for other people's sake. Study and learn rightly so that you can guide them rightly and with all diligence to a proper understanding of the things of God given unto man here in this world. It is pleasing to the Lord for us to do this, and we will not lose out on our eternal reward for our service to Him in Heaven. -- Rick C. Hodgin |
